What to expect
First contact: reaching out
Once you get in touch—either by email, phone or through the contact form, I’ll aim to respond within 48 hours. We’ll arrange a brief, informal phone call (free of charge) where we can talk through what you’re looking for and whether I’m the right person to support you. There’s no pressure to decide anything on the spot, this call is simply a chance for you to ask any questions and get a feel for how I work.
The first session
Our first session is a gentle introduction. It’s your space to talk, reflect, and begin to share what’s been going on for you. There’s no expectation for you to go into anything you’re not ready for.
We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and whether you’d prefer sessions outdoors or indoors:
Outdoor therapy offers a calm, natural setting—often taking place as a walk-and-talk alongside the local waterway.
Indoor therapy is held in a peaceful, private office in Fleet.
Everything we do is guided by your comfort and your needs.
I work in a person-centred way with tailored integration. This means I won’t tell you what to do or judge where you’re at. Instead, I’ll walk alongside you helping you to understand yourself more deeply, recognise your strengths, and make choices that support your wellbeing. At times I may make suggestions, integrate helpful activities and gently challenge beliefs you may hold that are keeping you from reaching your goals, all aligned with my devotion in supporting you.
Frequency & length of sessions
- Sessions last 50 minutes
- We typically meet weekly, but this is flexible
- You can choose short-term or long-term support
- We’ll review regularly to make sure the therapy continues to feel helpful
- You’re not locked into a fixed number of sessions—we go at a pace that suits you.
Confidentiality & ethics
I’m a fully qualified therapist and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). This means I follow a strict code of ethics, and everything you share is confidential.
There are a few legal exceptions (such as if someone is at serious risk of harm), and I’ll always explain this clearly in our first session. I also attend professional supervision to ensure I’m supporting you to the best of my ability.
Who I work with
I work with adults and teens (16+) and offer support for a range of issues, including:
- Anxiety & overwhelm
- Low mood & depression
- Self-esteem & identity struggles
- Addiction recovery support
- Stress, burnout & life transitions
- Grief & loss
- Trauma-informed exploration
- Emotional regulation
- Support for parents and carers
- People simply feeling lost or stuck
I also offer therapy for concerned parents or carers of teenagers—to help you process your own experience of supporting a young person and to provide space for your own mental health needs.
A final word
Starting therapy can feel like a big step—but it’s also a brave one. Whether you’ve been carrying something for a long time or you’re just starting to notice a change in how you’re feeling, reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.
I’m here to walk alongside you—with empathy, clarity and care—offering a space that’s yours, and a process that unfolds at your pace.
If you’re ready to begin, or just want to ask a question, I’d love to hear from you.
